Wecome to the Classical Magnet Music website! Classical Magnet School is a grades 6-12 Magnet School located in Hartford, CT. Our devoted music teachers cover their 3 core subject areas as well as numerous elective courses, general music classes and after school enrichment programs.
Core Classes: HS, MS, and Beginner Bands. HS Choir and MS Musical Theatre. HS and MS Orchestras.
Semester Electives: Guitar class, Piano Class, Music Theory, and World Drumming (steel pan and afro/cuban).
Afterschool activities include; Early Music Choir, Premiere Drumline, Rhythm and Blues Guitar, Jazz Band, and Band & Orchestra lessons.
6th-8th graders take mandatory general music classes in 8 week rotations.
